Total Waste Diverted from Landfill
Last updated: September 2024
Our supplying partner, Active Apparel Group, has a waste management process that is overseen by an Administration Manager, ensuring a systematic and efficient approach to recycling and waste diversion. This process undergoes monthly reviews by their Longson facilities management team to maintain high standards and continuous improvement.
Waste Audit and Management Practices
Development phase:
Includes fabric scraps, cuttings, samples, and faulty items from the manufacturing process.
Production phase:
Involves handling transfer paper, shredded paper, paper tubes, sewing thread barrels, and plastic film.
Each type of waste is separately tracked and recorded on a waste stream basis, ensuring precise measurement of the waste generated and diverted from landfill. The collected waste is then sold to Ningbo Co-op Renewable Resources Technology Co Ltd., which processes it into new materials, such as protective blankets for furniture protection and engineering construction.
